What your support says about you
I’m going to be brutally honest with you:
If we lose here in Michigan, Democrats lose our shot to flip the Senate.
But if we win, Democrats can take control of the Senate. And we can finally put a real check on Donald Trump’s chaos agenda.
That’s how high the stakes are in this race.
That’s why I’m going to do something a little different in this Substack today: I’m going to ask you to contribute to my campaign to help me keep Michigan blue.
But I also want to say this: I know many of you are informed, engaged people who are on plenty of political lists, and I’m sure you get asked for money all the time.
So I don’t ask lightly. And I want to tell you what your support actually means.
Yes, your contribution helps pay for the organizing, the voter outreach, the ads, and all the daily costs that go into winning a battleground race like this.
But it also says something about you.
It says you believe voters, not MAGA billionaires and out-of-state megadonors, should decide our elections.
It says you believe working families deserve leaders who will fight for them – and a government that makes life better, not harder.
It says you believe Michigan deserves a senator who loves this state. Someone who shows up, listens, and delivers. Not one who rubber-stamps whatever nonsense Donald Trump cooks up.
Yes, a $20 contribution helps power this campaign. But when I see it, I hear something more.
I hear: I still believe this country can do better.
I hear: I’m not giving up on Michigan.
I hear: We must flip the Senate.
The polls keep showing the same thing: I’m the strongest Democrat in this race, and I can beat MAGA Mike Rogers in November. Independent voters are with us. The path is there.
But we still have to do the work – showing up every day, meeting Michiganders in every corner of this state, and building the kind of campaign that can win.
That is what your support makes possible.
